47 years of Owls Head

On December 18th, 1965 Mr. Fred Korman opened the doors of Owl’s Head Ski Area for the very first time. What started as a hobby for this simple electrician from Mansonville has now grown to a 4 season resort that provides some of the best skiing in Quebec as well as one of the top rated golf courses in the province. With the help of his wife Lillian and daughter Caroll, Owl’s Head opened that first winter season with 2 chairlifts and 1 t-bar. Guests at that time were skiing on 6 trails which were laid out by locals and under the keen eye of Olympic Skier Bob Richardson. Keeping with the rich heritage of the region, the Korman’s decided to keep the native Abeniki name of Owl’s Head in respect to the ancient culture and the great Chief Owl.

Our dedicated Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance (CSIA) and Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI) certified instructors are waiting to welcome you to our mountain and will be only too glad to assist you should you require their services as a begginer or someone seeking advanced technical instruction.

End of the 2012-2013 snow school season

We thank all our customers.The 2012-2013 season is now over.
Programs, rates and registration forms for the 2013-2014 season will be available in September 2013.
We encourage you to register early as the number of places is limited. Remember that if morning classes are full there is probably still room in the afternoon.
